BugTrace

Keep track of bugs in your projects

BugTrace is a program for managing and storing information about bugs found in your projects and about suggestions. It was designed with software developers' needs in mind. Each project has its own database, which stores important details on bugs/suggestions, and which can be shared by many users. You can acquire information about current status with just a quick glance. Each item is described using number of data, all changes to item are recorded in history database.

BugTrace runs on Windows 95 and Windows NT.

BugTrace Features

• Detailed information about each item: bug/suggestion, current status, date and time, author, responsible person, priority, severity, synopsis, hardware and software requirements, project, comments
• It is possible to attach files to any item. Each attached file can be opened with associated program or default viewer or saved to a different location.
• Changes are recorded in a database - who and when changed the database, together with a description of the change.
• Predefined search possibilities - you can search also history records and comments.
• Filtered views using simple dialogs. With a few mouse clicks you can view only items of your interest.
• You can define your own filters using standard SQL SELECT commands.
• For each project you can set any of three security levels thus regulating users access to the database.
• MAPI support - possibility to send mail message to responsible person when new bug was added and/or responsibility changed.
